TROLLS

A troll doll is a type of plastic doll with wild, furry hair with the likeness of the smaller woodland trolls (or "mountain-folk", depending on the region) from Scandenavian Folklore.

Other common names are:

  • Dam doll, named after their creator and Danish woodcutter, Thomas Dam
  • good luck troll, for the good luck that is believed to come with it
  • gonk troll, as it's known by in the United Kingdom
